play the piano like a master on your Ipad

Hi Everyone,

I am not sure how many persons are going to be tapping their Ipads . . . maybe it is easier to listen to a recording? ;)

I'd rather tap that on a real piano hue hue hue.

Gimmicky toys like that get boring after a while.  The only purpose it may serve is getting people  interested in classical music or taking up proper piano lessons.

There is nothing like the playing a real  piano.

As an aside, I get eye strain looking Ipods for any length of time , but when I read music while playing the piano I never get eye strain.

Hi compline,

I don't even own an Ipod [or Ipad?] or a cell phone. ;D

Oh that's good, I was just saying that it is gimmicky.

Cell phones are ok to a certain extent, like when I go out and I need to contact family or phone a cab or the likes. but I don't like chatting on it.

There seems to be an emerging consensus that there is a connection between cell phone use and brain cancer, so frequent use of them for conversations may not be wise!

Yes I'm sure that is true,  and it is worrying the amount of time the younger generation spend talking on it, let alone the expense.

I'm going to play nice for once and agree... I find it sad that this generation will willingly play Rock Band or Guitar Hero, and put hours/weeks/months into a toy with 5 buttons trying to get achievements, when in actual fact they could be learning the actual instrument.

Granted that real instruments don't come with flashy achievements that you can post on Facebook, or XBox live, but still - far more interesting than pressing a glass screen.

The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more
