Chopin Op. 28 No. 3
on: May 25, 2015, 04:38:06 PM
I'm looking for advice on how to avoid my left hand detaching from my arm from playing Chopin's third prelude. Seriously, just playing through a few times gives a dull pain that lasts anywhere from half an hour to the rest of the day depending on how many times I play. Any help is appreciated.

If you have a pain of any kind, it usually means you're playing with tension.
Play each note slowly. Press one key, then bounce in and out of it, shaking out all the tension.
Make this a habit, because if it's showing up here it's likely hidden in other places too :)
