I think there's only one series of complete works, the urtext by Konemann and don't know if that's available somewhere.

Just try with Google. Remember that there are many spellings of his name in the west;
Lyadov, Liadov, Ljadov

I'm not sure you can. I think my own collection is complete, but covers about 6 publishers (of variable quality) and contains quite a few duplicates.

I am lucky to have acquired the Koenemann complete Liadov set in 4 volumes, edited by Victor Yekimivsky and Nikolay Tolstoi. No fingerings, and only scant annotations, but I find the quality of these books very good, and they've cost next to nothing. Not sure if these are still available since Koenemann went defunct. From the same source I had the complete piano works of Balakirev, but I've sold these on - it was too much to handle.

Maybe you should sell the Liadov too...to me  ;)

4 VOLUMES OF HIS MUSIC?

*** you are lucky. I can't find the edition you guys are talking about. What about this one? Found it on Amazon. No preview function for this edition. Anyone of you have this?

https://www.amazon.com/LIADOV-LYADOV-PIANO-WORKS-Library/dp/4111612202/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1434934838&sr=1-1&keywords=Liadov

Since fingered/edited ones are pretty much non-existent, I'll settle for just a good quality edition instead.

That's a Japanese edition from Schott, but is it complete works? Don't have time to research now. If so, it's probably worth trying.

I just ordered the Konemann volumes from Amazon. Could not get all of them new since the sellers don't deliver here, but I hope the used ones are in reasonable shape...

I think you are probably talking about this book from Zen-on:

https://shop.zen-on.co.jp/p/161220

This is just a selection: this page shows the first three items, and if you click where it says 収載曲をすべて表示 you get the whole list. For example, it includes nos. 1 and 3 from Op. 57, skipping the interesting waltz.

Of course you can get a full set by downloading from IMSLP. There is always the convenience of a properly bound volume on your shelf, but on the other hand I made my own copy of the full Opus 57 with the Prelude on the first spread, then a gatefold giving a three-page spread for the Waltz, and the Mazurka on the back page, obviating any page turning within pieces. I think these are very beautiful miniatures.

Ninety pages is not a lot - must be a fairly rigorous selection. The Koenemann volumes are around 90-100 pages each (though often quite spaciously printed). Being a 'completist', I hate it when publishers select pieces for you. As I said the Koenemann's are terrific value for money. They are
well bound on nice creamy and sturdy paper. Great that Amazon still has them, even if only second hand. I don't like the Zen-On books much. The one I owned once was so stiff that it was hard to open and it would never stay open when on the stand. Never such a problem with the Koenemann volumes.

Alright thanks. I managed to find a site (besides Amazon) with the Konemann volumes. There are about 6-8 new for each volume for about 6 pounds, and 14-16 used for less than a pound. Very cheap...

I want to make sure if this the one you guys are talking about:

If it doesn't work out i might just make my own complete set from IMSLP.

those konemann urtexts are great bargain urtexts.  i wish i had moved on the complete scriabin piano works while the gettin was good (i only have a few that i picked up as new old stock in bargin bins).

the liadov ones i would imagine would be of similar quality, and i was pleased w other konemann offerings i 've seen (some nice joplin and tchaikovsky etc).

genrally the ze on/Japanese scores afil w Schott are on the higher end of better in the upper middle range of quality. you may find more lacking in selection of pieces vs the actual score quality.

good luck.

Yes, these are the ones. I have a couple of those (Chopin polonaises and Walzes) and they are really good quality. Now I am just p*ssed that no-one seems to sell all the Balakirev volumes :(

It's in the same site. Look at the "customers who bought this also bought" section. I don't know how many volumes there are in total, but I saw around 5 available volumes for Balakirev. These Russian composers need more love.

The problem is that it's a US site. I only order from US when really desperate, because of the frequent problems and extra costs with taxes and customs.

Of course I can find some sellers, but the prices for some of the volumes are outragious...
