Kinderträume, Op.65, by Theodore Oesten
on: July 09, 2015, 09:13:13 PM
Hi,
I've just joined Piano Street, and this is my first post.
I’m learning to play the piano (just for my own enjoyment) and I’m always looking for easy pieces that will help me improve my sight-reading and technique but that are also fun to play. I recently came across a set of six pieces called Kinderträume, Op.65, by Theodore Oesten, and I downloaded the score from the International Music Score Library Project (imslp.org). They are charming, interesting, and at just the right level for a beginner. However, I would love to hear what these pieces sound like when played by an accomplished musician. I’ve scoured the Web but so far I’ve been unable to locate any recording...or reference to a recording...of this music. I was wondering if anyone might have some ideas about where I might be able to find recordings of these and other lesser known or less popular piano pieces. Thank you in advance for your help.
