Which Beethoven Piano Concerto do you prefer - No.4 Op. 58 or No. 5 Op. 73 (Emperor)? And why?

You might as well ask a parent which child they prefer.  Although here you may have more success getting people to debate such an unanswerable question.

I don't like the 5th.  The title puts me off: I believe in democracy and I'm a republican.  On the other hand 4 is an unlucky number in Chinese superstition: it sounds like "death".  The question it boils down to is a philosophical one: whether my belief in democracy as a universal guarantee of a better society trumps my nationalistic sentiments.
Beethoven - Sonata in C sharp minor, Op 27 No 12
Chopin - Fantasie Impromptu, Nocturn in C sharp minor, Op post
Brahms - Op 118, Nos 2 & 3
