It is a timeless question, a persistent voice in the mind of every pianist: “How many hours must I practice to truly improve?” It springs from a perfectly legitimate desire to measure the commitment required to transform our ambitions into sound, whether that means playing a simple minuet or dreaming of the world’s most prestigious stages. Portable Keyboard for Child?
on: July 23, 2015, 09:25:20 PM
My son plays piano (a Kawai K6), but would like a smaller, portable keyboard when he goes to visit relatives who have no piano.

Can folks here recommend something with a reduced key set, with graded keys and built-in speakers?

The top of our price range for something new would be $300-400.

Thanks.

Mac

Hi Mac,
One of the keyboards I use is a Yamaha PSR413. It's has 61 keys and can either be plugged in r work on batteries. Very light for ease in transporting and the sound is very doable. Give it a try, he might like it.
I got mine at Amazon...
