Some of the 100 Transcendental Etudes have that length, I believe.

Thanks! But what is his shortest "absolute" piece (by this I mean a piece that is not part of a larger one...like the etudes). I have extended my range from 1-10 min.
Thanks,
DLu

I love the Minute Waltz Pastiche....it's so awesome...I also think I have the sheet music on my computer somewhere, if you'd like it. Same with the Habanera, but I don't have the sheet music.

There's another one, as well...I must admit I know NOTHING about the piece except that it's called Tarantella, and it's about 4:07 on my computer. I'm listening to a recording of it now by Habermann and I quite like it. It has a good modern-y feel to it, a lot of drive, and doesn't seem to be too difficult-----in comparison, that is, to some of Sorabji's other pieces. I think the Minute Waltz Pastiche would be a little...eh...challenging, and I'd hate to think what the Habenera looks like.

Great! I'd love to take a look at the music! You can post it here, or e-mail me at: DLu11211989@aol.com
I would also be interested in the third pastiche too (or the second) if you have it.
Thanks,
DLu
