Kawai RX1 - questions about price and condition. Thanks!
on: September 09, 2015, 01:47:39 AM
I'm moving from Australia to NY and looking for a piano for my 2 kids.  I've come across a used Kawai grand - RX1 model.  Specs are -
1) bought in 2006
2) tuned every 6 mths by professional tuner
3) Played 1hr a day, 3hrs on weekends
4) Asking for $9000
5) Apparently all in working condition - i haven't inspected it yet.

Is this a good model/price?

Given the declincing australian dollar, $9000 in USD is out of my price range.  When buying used pianos, how much do you think I should offer?

Alternatively, I could purchase a cheaper upright piano. Please let me know what models I should be looking at!

Thanks so much!
