i have access to a 1925 Steinway model M for $8000 that i want to buy refurbish and then resell. is it worth it?

Unless you're a particularly shrewd talker and have many contacts of who would actually want to buy it (and knows a thing or two about the value), I doubt you'll make much profit.
8 grand also seems a little steep, if it needs to be refurbished to be worth selling at a regular price of a Steinway- that said, I'm no expert, this is just my gut feeling.
It sounds like it would be a glorious instrument though.
