An apology, I suppose!
on: October 06, 2015, 01:06:12 AM
So, I've come to a realization recently that this isn't really the best place to talk politics and/or religion, lol.
So, I apologize to anyone and everyone whom I've been rude to. Regardless of what we talked about (I tend to get too heated in debates and can come off horribly when I don't intend to).
That said, I reserve the right to speak if I feel untrue things are being said ABOUT the positions I hold; IE if someone makes a post saying all atheists are by definition immoral, I'm going to go to bat. Probably with very few exceptions.
That said, I hope I can start a clean slate with you all!

Psh you're "rudeness" only makes the forum spicier! It keeps the forum alive and breathing! If you stop what you're doing, the forum will die. It will breathe its last breath, and the evil PW will be the victor over PS. DONT LET PS DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  THE FATE OF PS IS IN THY HANDS!!!!!!!!!

Actually, your arguments only make the forum spicier. It keeps it alive! If you stop doing what you're doing, the forum will die, and PS will be defeated by PW. DONT LET THIS HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I was referring to was me being an asshat to those who disagree (perhaps Noah or even AJ can sympathize with this), not me completely getting rid of my personality.
Don't worry, my sarcasm and all the rest will stay intact ;) I just want my friendships with the awesome people on here to do the same.

I need to join in to this post also. A piano forum isn't the place to have a debate about pascal's wager or gay rights like I brought up. I shouldn't have been so assertive of my views! Sorry chopinlover! And don't worry about you being mean, I don't think you have been rude at all! If anyone has done anything to get angry over, it's definitely me. Let's just forget about our different views and be good pianist friends like we were when we first joined. And I really respect a person who can apologize like that. ;)

There isn't anything inherently wrong in discussing those things every once in a while, we do have our differences after all. It just has to be more well tempered than Bach's WTC so that our friendships last  ;)
For the time being, I've chosen to stay (mostly) out of it.

Given that over the last couple of months - of all people who have been a major pain in the arse in this forum, I didn't really consider you as one of them.

Did I miss something?

Mostly me being an ass (or maybe I'm just being too self conscious lol) due to disagreeing politically with people.
I'm starting to think it's mostly inside my own head (as I, for awhile, thought a LOT less of Noah because he is/was a Young Earth Creationist), but either way this was good for me to get it off my conscious.
I'm still going to be the same person with the same personality, but I just felt the need to do this. I don't know, maybe this would've been better to do via PM.
