Your Math Grades
on: October 15, 2015, 10:35:12 PM
Hi, Math Students of the USA!

What are your averages for math?

Right now I have a 102.48%.

Does anyone know what GPA that would be?

Depends what your other classes are.

What a second...  You're in a math class... 102%... But you're asking what your GPA would be?  *coughcoughcough*

There's some classroom transfer missing here....

There's a +/- 3% error rate depending on how valid and reliable the tests are.

Why don't you just figure out your GPA though?

You have an A in the class so if that was the only class that counted towards your GPA you would have a 4

No, I just check and check my work on quizzes and tests.
I don't do my homework every day, though  :-[ But still, my test and quiz scores are high enough.

And please learn how to spell. And I'm pretty sure you know how to do x +2 =55 xd

How can you not?  It's just following instructions, checking things off the list.  And then a certain amount of percentage for whether the teacher gives the student the benefit of the doubt, maybe a 5% suck up zone essentially.

lol I wish I knew how to suck up, then I'd get a 107.58 lol.

But my GPA would still be 4.0  :P

Yeah, and then there's GPA weighting and whether someone determined it counts for GPA... ::)

Decide how important that information will be for your life.
And then it's a class and will affect things in the future (college, GPA), which means minimum of A and moving along.  Maximum of actually understanding it/mastering it so it's ready for future use (including assuming the teacher might not know everything you'll need...).
And go from there.

Research has shown that people with high math score do well in music.  I did really well in math, and my music theory grades in college were high too.  They are all correlated.

Due to disinterest, I got a D in high school geometry, but I retook it in summer school and got a B+. I only took what the absolute minimum was in college--one class--I think I got a B of some sort, but that was too long ago. (The high school grades stick out since I rarely got such a poor grade in school...and there was a really hot girl in the summer school class who was my table partner!)  ;D

We can count to four and do basic fractions....

... while keeping a steady beat, staying on pitch, playing a melody and accompaniment, adjusting to others, etc....

I'm know I'm making an A+, but we have an exam coming up soon.  I'll see what my official average is after that. :)
