Rachmaninov Moment Musicaux 3 - lenght of the piece?

Hello

I tried this piece and it seems to be quite managable. Not many technical difficulties as I would await from Rachmaninov. (Just few uncomfortable stretches) But what surprised me - some versions are lmost half lenght then others and even some top pianists play then shorter, what is this  - are there two versions? I must say that longer version is definitely too long and I preffer the shorter one, is it "legit"?
