the ones on the bikes are Mormon--it's up for debate whether this group is even Christian...considering their "prophet"  J Smith ranks higher than JC.

the ones with the magazines are Jehovas Witness--secretive group.... ????????

you can get either group to never knock on your door again... by simply answering the door buck-ass naked and inviting them in to debate your personal nudist religion over a nice cup of tea...

works like a charm.  :)

what I did once in elementary school to those "missionary" guys (and I now know that it is incredibly offensive) was to play some piano transcription of the Schubert Ave Maria in one of my piano books (probably not Schubert-Liszt, seeing how hard it is). anyway, worked like a charm!

It was not Schubert-Liszt. Don't think it is.

Never think it is.

No thanks

You are so gullible. Did you start despising Lisitsa due to peer pressure?

Or maybe youre a jealous communist who hates famous and rich pianists. Especially ones who play western music.

Or maybe youre just one of those people crazy about difficult junk like Godowsky Transcriptions. And therefore u prefer Hamelin over Lisitsa ::)

Post Valentina next time.

y'all are picky, Hamelin is quite a good pianist;... and I don't want to post any Valentina Lisitsa; her reputation has been especially disgraced after those pro-Russian statements, which she's STILL spewing out on her Twitter at https://twitter.com/vallisitsa?lang=en (that's even her Twitter display name- "NedoUkrania" - "sub-Ukraine") I think she should get help.

You have to at least notice the "clever"ness of the Godowsky etudes. They build on what Chopin's etudes intended to "strengthen." While one may dismiss this as a violation of the "sacred" music of Chopin, I think Godowsky's work still has to be recognized. For example, in his transcription of the 2nd Nouvelle Etude, he expands on the idea of a study on polyrhythms to include much more complex rhythms and structure... And the harmonies are typical 19th century sensual lushness...

Different colors are different polyrhythms (the video description talks about this- e.g. groups of 3, 5, 10, 6, 9 kek 69 and certain groups against other groups)

Apparently, however, Noah Johnson believed this to be "blasphemous cacophony."

OK, I looked at Wei Luo's FB account and I STILL CANT FIND HER CHINESE NAME!!!!!

UGH CHING CHONG CHING CHONG CHING CHONG!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY CANT I FIND IT???? *sighs*

Anyways, those are CHOPIN-Godowsky etudes. You have to appreciate the fact that Chopin contributed to their "genius".

Anyways, if you cant put Lisitsa, then put in Boris Bloch. He told Evgeni Bozhanov for a while.  (I don't prefer Lazar Berman's recording; its not as high quality as some of his other performances.)

No, there are plenty of threads I don't like, that still add things. This is just nothing, but public personal messages.
