Trends in Pianists' Schools
on: November 06, 2015, 09:19:00 PM
Hi people,\

Ive noticed that many of my favorite pianists studied at either the Paris Conservatoire or Moscow Conservatory.

My favorite young (teenage or younger) pianists mostly come from Curtis (in Philadelphia) now.

Helene Grimaude, David Fray, Jean-yves Thibaudet, Alexandre Tharaud, and some other people.

P.S. On a Bing ssearch, it claims Andre LaPlante studied at Juillard!!!!!
But its kind of funny how he never mentions it on his lengthy website biography, nor on his Wikipedia Page.
