I checked a while back, his last known post was in July.
I liked him too, shame that he left (which is my guess; however, he didn't seem to tell anyone he was leaving). Hopefully he'll come back at some point.

Ohmigod Michael Sayers. DON'T even get me started.

his Chopin op. 28 no. 1
:-X there should be a "vomit" smiley
It really takes skill to stretch those last 3-4 measures of the piece to take up 30 seconds...

my comment on YouTube accurately describes his playing

Quote from: me
This definitely "so bad it's good." This guy thinks he's Nyiregyhazi (you can clearly see from his other videos) and I think he's trying to out-Busoni Busoni with this "transcription" as well- if you can take it seriously. But clearly he's doing this for the sake of it- from the parts where he plays "normally," you can tell that his technique is not even up for playing a simple Bach Invention (I played this when I was 9? And there are lots of people who've learned it earlier than I did too) Now, what is this guy's "day job??"

oh and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK0OnwJlnvc
Listen to it for 30 seconds. Or don't. If you do, immediately clean out your ears with a reputed recording of the same prelude, preferably that of Lucas Debargue.

I SINCERELY hope that guy is practicing away, with our advice on his Audition Room posts in mind ;D

As for j_menz though, unfortunately, I don't know where he went. I find that a handful of people have quit the forum for various reasons though; e.g. they have other things to do, they are tired of certain types of people, topics, or arguments...

I don't think it's easy to speculate on why a person left a forum, though someone might actually know for a fact "what happened" :P

Yeah. Too bad Themeandvariation, Josh, and AJ left. They were my 3 favorite members. :(

This is an odd sign if Jmenz is the future me.  I wonder where I've gone.
