Cosmetic damage!!
on: February 08, 2016, 11:58:03 AM
Piano people of the world, a client of mine recently purchased a baby grand Pearl River piano (GP150 I believe) that somehow got damaged (cosmetic only) in shipping or handling by local agents upon arrival at port in Karachi, Pakistan.

The first place and most substantial damage is on the front panel of the lid in the centre (just above where a key locking system would be).

The second place is on the back panel of the lid towards the right hand side where the curve of the piano begins. This is a shallow nick or two and less marked than the damage on the front panel. It appears as two grey spots in the picture. Please see the attachments.

Any recommendations on possible fixes? Please do bear in mind that I have limited resources available to me in Karachi.

Thanks.
Omer

If the damage was caused during the move, the first course of action would be to approach the movers to remedy the situation.  Damage might be covered in the agreement.  It would help if you had before pictures as evidence the damage was not there prior to moving.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
