Programming Schumann

I am just starting to consider a large Schumann work (most likely Op. 6), but I am having trouble deciding what to program with it. I need to have at least 3 preferably 4 periods represented and stay around the 60-75 min range. The schumann cycles are all so long I'm finding it hard to do this! Add a classical sonata (20 min) to a Schumann piece (30 min) and you're basically out of time! How do you all cope with this? Do you have any favorite Schumann "pairings"

Well looks simple to me; if you insist on doing op 6 then pair it with for instance a Bach suite (around 12 min) a shorter classical sonata e. g. Mozarts no 1 C maj (around 11 min) and finish with a neoclassic piece as Prokofjev 3rd sonata op 28(around 8 min). You could also do like me with Schumann doing his Kindersehen op 15 instead. Gives you more freedom timewise

This lovely op6n3 mazurka goes well with just about anything,

I think if you will go w neoclassical, which i think is a spot on recc, i would likely go w Francaix as i was re listeing to a few works the other day and they are pretty muuch good to pair w just about anything given their modern but still tonalish framework and underpinnings
