Hi adodd,

Congrats on the concert. I actually think a waltz would be nice as it would be a different style from the other pieces. As you say, the prelude is very showy, and the etude is very melodic (as well as a bit dramatic at times)...so I think a Nocturne might be a bit too similar to the etude.

I think the ever so famous Op. 64 No. 2 waltz would be a nice contrast to these other pieces. My favorite Chopin waltz is actually Op. 34 No. 1. You might want to check that out.

You could also consider playing Chopin's Op. 29 No. 1 Impromptu in Ab. It has got quite a different sound than the other pieces you chose.

prelude, op. 62 no. 2, and walt op. 42

DAMN SOUNDS GOOD...

Gonna listen to them in that order.

Having a look through the impromptus I am quite enjoying OP.51

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
Best impromptu imo.
my fav version:

If you ever want to learn it, then I'm warning you: dont listen to sofrotnisky. It will set you up for a life time of disappointment because you won't be able to play it like he does. ;______________;
