The best thing ever.....

would be a true concertante version of the Alkan concerto. Fairly recently (I think) someone uploaded an arrangement by "Klindworth" of the first movement of the Alkan concerto. Does anyone know if a recording of this exists?

Read Subject line.
No words "Chopin" or "Debussy" or "Beethoven" exist in original post.

There is a recording on youtube. The original did not do a great deal for me and this even less.

A bit like the concertante of the Mephisto Waltz in as much as it detracts from the original and adds nothing. A curiosity at best.
