chopin's nocturne in C minor, op. 48

I've played piano for many years and am considered advanced, however, I'm having lots of difficulty with this piece and was wondering if others are encountering the same problem, even breaking down the piece with hands separately. I've been working on this piece for several months and cannot seem to make it sound very good. Also, is the 1st note of the octave thirds descending and ascending accented in the section before the dopio movimento?

what other pieces have you played?

It would be good to make sure you have a solid technique before playing this beautiful piece..

If you feel that you do have the appropriate a technique for the piece, then just slow your practice down, and practice smaller sections at a time.

I haven't played this nocturne yet, so I apologize that I can't make my advice more specific.
