Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. Door Prizes -- any suggestions?
on: June 03, 2016, 01:14:22 AM
Hi -- Our Spring Concert will be held in two days.  Traditionally - there are door prizes (that is - a *draw* at the end of the event).  I usually buy some Lindt chocolates and-or two music store gift cards.  This year - I would like to give something different.  I thought of buying a nice flower planter -  which could be on the stage throughout the concert...

Do you have any suggestion for something else that could work as a second prize?  It would have to please anyone in the audience - adults and children alike.

Looking forward to your original ideas! :)
