pencilart's non-pencil art
on: July 28, 2016, 01:35:31 PM
I get a lot of messages asking me if I draw because of my username. Yes I do draw but it is not as exciting as painting. Painting is very difficult, try getting out some brushes and paints you will know what I mean. Seriously go try it you will really appreciate all sorts of art around you more. Anyway I'm much worse at painting then I am at drawing but I suppose the time has come to show my art. I have completed 3 paintings. Please let me know which one you dislike the least ;)

I like the 4th one at very bottom of 3 colorful ones.

that plain beige almost carpet like, its abstract but it reflects a deep feeling of emptiness, like a life of unrealized poteNtial a blank tan/beige slate that could become anything.

i normally dont connect w expressionist moderN stye but  you nailed it w that one.

Very nice! I especially like the one to the far right. My sister is a brilliant amateur artist and I don't get how anyone can paint. It looks impossible.

pencil, you are really good at the paintings. I like the middle one it is very colorful. They are all very atmospheric. You have a lot of talent for art and music. Keep up the great work. Be confident in yourself. You're a good looking kid too, with a right belief. Kudos.

They are all so pretty but I like the one on the right the most.

Do they have names?

Damn, painting always scared me, it seems too hard.
Those are really nice. I really like the one on the left, there's something very soothing about it.

I agree, the use of negative space is brilliant in the bottom painting.  It gives the three middle paintings a contextual frame, and which appear like a triptych mounted on carpet.  It would be a good gallery display, plain white walls are so overrated.  Plus the light shading on the purple sofa-like background is really well done.

What this needs now is a curatorial statement.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
