Does this qualify as Advertising?
on: August 02, 2016, 04:18:34 PM
Hello, to whomever it may concern,

I have been trying to get Op 111 Productions by
"Live Help", by e-mail, and by phone, and never
ever got an answer from anyone, so here is my
question, one last time:

It is stated in your Forum Rules, that "Any kind of
commercial advertising or spamming is
prohibited.” Suppose I am planning to play some
concerts in a certain city in Europe, and would
like to announce that on this website, so that the
people who might be interested would know on
which site tickets are available- would that be
considered commercial advertising? Suppose I
don't offer tickets through your forum but simply
announce a planned performance at an as-yet-
undetermined venue, within a specific date range,
and redirect members to my site or another site,
through which in turn they could buy ticket
vouchers- would that also be considered
commercial advertising?

Thanks,

Antonio

you should be fine, there's a child/sub board in the misc. section of the forum for this where folks announce recitals, concerts, competitions, etc.

How nice for someone actually to ask.

Thankfully, we seem to have lost the advertisers.

I learned something today.  I thought child boards were only for children until I googled this just now.  Congrats Octave.

Indeed, on both counts.
