I'm applying to college, so I wanted some suggestions on good pieces to audition with. There are 2 requirements: Play 2 classical pieces of contrasting style, and it must be 10+ minutes. The auditions are in February, so it should be easy enough to perfect by then. Also, I'd prefer less common pieces, as I think this is a good way to stand out. (I'm sure they've heard songs like fantasize impromptu and the revolutionary etude about 10 million times.)

If you relax the tempo a bit in tue rondo these two pair nicely together and you might get 10 minutes out of both

It depends on your skill level to really determine what is the best for you... You should put this under Repertoire if it's still possible.

Really? "Fantasize Impromptu"?

"Don't you love the Fantasize Impromptu?"
"Is that the one in K Major? Opus 4-140?"
"Yeah, yeah that one. I love the fourth movement, it's really great!"

This is how you joke around with pianist friends
