"Prepatory Exercises in Score Reading" by R.O.Morris
on: August 19, 2016, 07:23:49 PM
I wanna get this book to learn how to sight-read string quartets on the piano and to eventually progress to symphonies.
I was wondering, what sort of spine does this book have and will it rest comfortably on a piano music stand?

I have an old copy of this excellent volume (I think maybe 1960s?) and it's bound in signatures with glue. I didn't think it was still in print, but if you can get a copy and it has the same binding, you'll need to break the spine to lay it flat on the piano. Or you can photocopy pages if you don't want to do that. Regardless of the binding, if you can find a copy then get it. It's an excellent book.
