Hey everyone (or you select few),
I must confess, reading through a few posts here, such as, ''are scales useful'' , or ''I really find this boring if it is not to my tastes'' quite remarkable. I love scales and I love trying out different styles of piano, though at first I never wanted to. I asked a friend why I love scales and arpeggios and triads and learning different styles, while so many don't.
He gave me two good reasons I think: number one, everyone is different and has differnet tastes, but also, because I started piano at 20. So everything for me is like ''oh wow, oh cool, oh this is fun''. I was wondering, if reason number two is true though, I feel it maybe is, but for those who started late and maybe those who began early, is there really a correlation?
