Chopin Op. 7, No. 2/1 .. and Bach FUGUE BWV 937
on: September 15, 2016, 10:08:12 PM
Colleagues:

1) OP. 7, NO. 2 == How hard is this piece?  Is this level 7 or 8 per RCM?  I heard it was 7 or 8.

2) OP. 7, NO. 1 == ..and this one?

Is pianostreet.com's level similar to the RCM?

3)  FANTASIE IMPROMPTU or Other? ==  We already know it is listed as 8+ in pianostreet.com; I'm looking for some other good Chopin pieces to PERFORM at a level 6 or so due to time constraints.

Suggestions?

I don't know if Katsaris has good masterclass videos on this as well.

4) Also, what level is this BACH Fugue: BWV 937 -

--- NEED SOME GOOD PRACTICING + PERFORMING TIPS PLEASE ---

Thanks.
pps

"On a  more serious note"

LOL

Well, you may have it 'patented' down, but definitely use the Slide Whistle with a vibraslap -as it may help.

Entertaining the idea of performing in a few months will be difficult for one who only likes to BS about music…

So, Do post your 'patented' Mazurka, or is this thread just more BS.

The Bach piece of your inquiry is not a fugue..  (which Taking even a moment   of interest would have revealed).

Post your recording. Sun Ra is watching.

I see that you have edited out some of the 'tells'..

"I Have it patented down, without Some of the bells and whistles"

….  "so i can perform ….in 2 or 3 months"….

you even changed the title of the thread, as evidenced in my previous post.

BS.   Stop your BS

I suggest you contact one of our forum members, Yadeehoo, for his practice tips and help in determining the difficulty of these in 3 months.  He was working on Chopin Etudes in his second year of study

the bach fugue is tricky.

the chopin mazurka is tricky too; a lot of people can play it, but not right.

i think kissin plays it correctly though.

-- also, whether or not someone else is asking to have pps to post these questions is not the issue ?

we appreciate your responses. Thanks.

'We' appreciate the responses?   Why don't you have your disassociative personality post his/her own questions?   We are tired of the spammer we have been seeing.

You may want to consider Chopin's C# minor Nocturne as it is not too difficult nor too easy.  The Mazurkas can be quite pain, while fugues require a lot of counterpoint playing.

good luck

You can download the RCM syllabus for yourself and check in which levels pieces are placed.

Well then, now you know the task at hand.  You need to be able to play a tricky piece right.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
