Notes of 'Camptown Races' by Elton John?
on: November 07, 2016, 12:24:45 AM
Hi, noticed this piece and have a question or two about right hand. It starts at 2:57.
Observation - It's obvious his RH starts on the C chord, by hitting (GCG) twice, and then -> E G (AFA) G E. For the Gmaj, I'm assuming he bases it on the 2nd inversion (DGBD), except hitting a quick E for the melody (in fact I think he actually slides from the D# into that E). I don't have enough strenght in my 5th finger to do the full G chord like that, so I leave out the lower D note.
Question - But what I'm interested in is what other notes he brings in over the C arpeggio between 3:05-3:06, as well as what fingering you'd recommend? I am yet to actually try 3:07-3:08 yet!
Thanks
