Hi guys!
I've decided to start a channel featuring Prokofiev's music syncopated with sheet music, which can be found here:
There isn't much there yet, but I'll try upload as fast as I can!
I think I'll need help on the best recordings of pieces. Usually when I get used to an interpretation of a piece I listen to nothing else but that recording, so I have no idea what else is out there. Gutierrez on the 2nd piano concerto is (correct me if I'm wrong) definitely the right choice. I lean towards Kissin on the 1st and 3rd, but I'm definitely not confident about these choices.
As for sonatas, the only ones I've dug through a lot are no. 3 and 6, which I believe (unconfidently) are played best by Gavrilov and Lugansky respectively. As for the others, I have little idea.
And everything else, including the non-piano compositions...oh man, there's so much to go through. Argerich for the toccata and julia fischer for the 1st violin concerto? idk...
Suggestions would be much appreciated!
small note: I very much prefer recordings with good sound quality, even if the performance isn't the best. Which means that most Richter recordings won't work for me, although they're great, etc.
