Need your advice
on: January 10, 2005, 07:03:28 PM
Hi. My mane is Luis. Playing piano is my main hobby¡¡¡

I have learned three Chopins nocturnes and this years i want to learn three new pieces which are:

Liszt - Sonetto 104 del Petrarca
Schubert - Impromptu Op 90 in A flat
Brahms - Capriccio in F# minor

My questions are:

What piece should i learn first?
Waht piece should i learn in second place?
What piece should i learn in third place?

I have 2 hours per day to practice

Do you think i can can learn the three pieces 6 months?

Thanks in advance.

Why don't you start on all three of them?

i think some of the things you will learn by learning schubert could help you at brahms and liszt. also, i do find liszt to be the most difficult work on your list.

imo

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
