Bruch 8 pieces for piano clarinet and viola
on: January 12, 2005, 10:53:42 AM
Hi all you repertoire boffins! do any of you know any juicy details about the chamber piece Bruch 8 pieces for piano clarinet and viola ?op81. I know they were written to stand alone or be played as a group and that they were most likely written for his students. They are of course one of a very small corp of works for clarinet/piano trio. Mozart and Beethoven are the others i immediately think of. Some of the movements are quite soloistic and virtuoso in nature. Some have gypsy/folkmusic overtones partic no5.

Any details would be great!THANKS ;)
