J.S Bach - Partita No. 6, BWV 830 - Toccata

Hi all - I've been lurking on pianostreet for a while but this is my first video I'm posting here!

I've played piano for a while but within the past year or so I've started to take it a bit more seriously after taking a bit of a break since entering college.

The performance isn't perfect but - Enjoy!
Any comments/criticism would be greatly appreciated

My god! There is so much color in your playing, your articulations are to die for!!! I really enjoyed your performance, congrats.

I was shocked to discover an original understanding of the piece. I have been playing it following Angela Hewitt's IMHO very brisk tempo for the past year, perhaps in an attempt to overcompensate for my attempt at age 12-13 to play it in that weird Gould dirge-tempo.

For me, you brought a moderate, fresh breath into the piece that doesn't trivialize it by, IMHO, doing a stunt tempo like Hewitt, nor, IMHO, make it into an odd dirge like Gould.

Wow, first times for everything -- not only have I said 'thank you' unprovoked, but I'd like to hear the Courante from the same Partita. I like the whole Partita, but IMHO the Courante is kind of a PITA to read casually -- you really have to learn it.

Wow.

Thank you again -- I don't know if revelation is the right word, but you showed me -- I still play the Toccata at least once a week -- a wonderful new perspective.
