When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”. Piano/Viola Duets?
on: April 18, 2017, 05:37:28 AM
 ;D :) ;)
Hello strangers!

This is my first post to this site. I joined about a month ago and absolutely love all things classical as well as almost any other genre really. Anyway my girlfriend plays Viola and she'll play anything ask her to. Currently we're working on "The Wind Forest" composed by Joe Hisaishi for the Studio Ghibli film; My Neighbor Totoro. Anywho, we want to start a YouTube channel showcasing our little piano/viola duets. Sort of like ThePianoGuys if you will but with a Taylor Davis/Lindasay stirling spin off with all the cosplay and scenery and what not. She's very good at makeup and things. Anyway we're trying to find any Piano/Viola duets we can get our hands on both classical or not. If anyone has any suggestions please leave them here! :3

P.s. We don't have a YouTube channel together yet. We are just getting things together and still need a bunch of equipment and things. However, when we do have a finished product together I will link it here in the future c:

Thanks, SGTxDiabetes.

Might be a little difficult?

Brahms op 120 no. 1 and op. 120 no.2 sonatas for clarinet and piano arranged by Brahms in 1895 for viola and piano.

Have you seen this listing on imslp.org for piano/viola duets?

https://imslp.org/wiki/Category:For_viola,_piano  :-\

Adagio for Strings, by Barber is  transcribed to violin  and piano. If you could transcribe for viola, I would recommend it.
