Are the Bartok Piano Concerti underrated?
on: May 26, 2017, 04:54:29 PM
Hi everyone! About a week ago I got a recommended video on Youtube, Bartoks 2nd PC. I had never heard it before and didn't know what to expect, but it blew me away. That made me wonder why barely anyone talks about his Concerti, except for those "what is the most difficult" threads. It seems to me like they get overshadowed by the ones of Prokofiev and Rachmaninoff, even though the Bartok are IMO as great as the others mentioned. What are your opinions on this?
