Just the rach 2 a couple years ago. I tried so hard to play that one with orchestra but I'm giving up with that one for now. There was another piece by a Black American composer I played last quarter that was literally for orchestra and jazz piano so idk if that really counts. It had two cadenzas and was only 8-9 minutes long.
Ah I see. Well good luck, hope you get to perform! You're probably way more ready to perform with an orchestra than you were when you were playing the Rach 2, and you're certainly more ready than I am!
Thanks yo ima need it.Surprisingly the third concerto is easier to play with accompaniment than the 2nd. So far I've only done the first two movements with second piano and the only spot that's hard to coordinate is the waltz at the end of the second movement. The second concerto has a few spots that can be quite confusing with with second piano especially in the middle of the second movement and the fugue in the last movement. However playing with a large ensemble is WAY different than playing with two pianos.
Are you ever going to admit that this is a joke?Post a practice vid.

Vid. You're saying it was on instagram, a video? Cool, share.
I like how fftransform thought I was faking it then I shut him up lol
Hey so I'm trying to get the starting tempo for the last movement up to speed. I can do 160 pretty comfortably but is that too slow for it to be socially acceptable?Like real talk

LAST MOVEMENT IS LOCKED AND LOADED AND READY TO GOI played it through twice in my lesson today. Once with orchestra part and once without. Tbh I'm still making a lot of mistakes BUT everything is at full speed and I pass the absolute minimum speed limit that's socially acceptable so it's kind of presentable to an audience now.Now the REAL challenge is playing it from beginning to end. I'm gonna run through the whole thing for the first time with orchestra part in studio next week. Which is the last studio of the school year so yeah going out with a bang lol.Problem is... NOW I FORGOT THE SECOND MOVEMENT
When did you start learning Rach 3?
Like middle of august last year.
Impressive! Will you get to play it with the orchestra you talked about?
