He was a part of pianostreet for a while and left very suddenly. What happened to him?

Tell me and we’ll both know; I think he’s still active on Facebook though if you want to ask him.

I actually deleted my fb a while back, so I can't message him. I think I found his profile though. There's a very weird photo of a young woman on his front page. Idk why anyone would put that on their fb...  :-\

I just looked at his post history, and the last time he posted, he got into a fight about politics with another user. Maybe that's why?

He was a part of pianostreet for a while . . . . . .

Hmmnn, perhaps a bit of an understatement since Thal has had over 16,000 posts since 2005. ;D

He got into a fight with mjames, Alistair Hinton, and me. He got upset and left, I suppose.

Yeah, I just read some of that thread. Not that agree with his points at all, but it's sad that he left over politics. Obviously, there are some very divisive things being said now.

I highly doubt that was the reason.  Been here since early 2006 and have been a fan of Thal's mercurial, funny/witty sarcasm.  He has been into innumerable "fights" with others here ....  yes far more serious "fights and discussions", yet he has remained seemingly undisturbed.

My personal guess  .....  the landscape of pianostreet has definitely changed, slowly, but surely.  Call it a generational gap. A lot of the oldies have gone (or faded away) as now-a-days it seems that the postings and discussions have a different flow/feel (or perhaps we are just getting old).  Despite the fact that people used to bash each other quite a lot, they still felt a degree of camaraderie and stuck around.  I think Thal just found the landscape to be quite different now and decided to fade away ... but he has kept his subscription active (still a gold member) .... to return another day?

Another old guy which we have not heard from since 2010 is PIANISTIMO, whom I admired for "sticking to her guns" despite sometimes what seemed to be the world against her. ;D
Surprisingly, she has kept her subscription, still currently a GOLD MEMBER. Hello there Pianistimo!! ;D
