Hello All
There are just two places left for Maestro Ilan Rogoff's masterclass during the final days of the 12th annual edition of the New Year Music Festival in Gstaad.

There is no fee for the course which is open to anyone, of any age, professional, training or high-level amateur who would like to work with this exceptional pianist who himself studied with Vladimir Horowitz and Claudio Arrau.

From Friday 5 January to Sunday 7 January 2018 - 09.30 - 13.00 daily at the ancient Rougemont Church in the Canton of Vaud Switzerland (nearest airport Geneva) - with individual sessions in the afternoons, students will be able to study both technique and musical performance.

“An artist of superior accomplishments. Ilan Rogoff's prodigious technical control is matched by a concept of great imagination”. New York Times

Participants will be helped to obtain tools to improve technical and conceptual skills with classes focusing on practice, the use of recordings and videos and preparation for performance (exams, rehearsals and concerts). They have a free choice of repertoire to perform and on which to consult Maestro Rogoff.

Open to active and passive participants, the sessions will include round table discussions illustrating points raised by use of compositions by Beethoven and Chopin and works presented by participants.

In January, Ilan Rogoff’s Madrid masterclass will be streamed on Medici TV and include footage of some of his students from the Gstaad classes.
