Yeah I'm not really a fan of dubbing. The only negative with subtitles is that I find I read the subs instead of appreciating cinematography.

I know I'm going to regret getting into this but… while I kind of agree with your statement I have to wonder if this is a deliberate mischaracterisation of the sort that makes it impossible to have rational discussions on the internet about social issues like sexism and racism. A kind of political tribalism that maligns anybody for considering the possibility that talking to 'the other side' might be worth while.

I think the word started off to make fun of people on tumblr who were otherkin or had a weird sounding sexuality (demisexual, pansexual), but over time it seems to be used against anyone who quotes feminist theory or talks about institutional racism.

I'm glad to talk to the other side, as long as they come from a place of wanting to learn, and not wanting to argue just for argument's sake.

Steve has the best character development over any other character!! He starts out kinda douchey, but he dumps his bully friends, even defending Barb, and breaks the camera of that creepy peeping tom. He then becomes bffs with Dustin and goes monster hunting! He's the jock with the heart of gold  Not to mention that Steve is one of the few male characters that doesn't yell at women and treat them like sh*t. And who wouldn't love that hair?

Okay I wasn't sure if that's what he was saying there. Like the first time he made a comment I was pretty sure he just didn't want his sister dating, and then the second time I got it, but still wasn't sure. I don't feel too bad for him anymore. Like it sucks that his father is abusive, but he is racist and is in turn abusive to Max. He needs to take responsibility even though his life is messed up.
