I will be appearing on the US radio programme "The Music Treasury" this upcoming Sunday (7th Jan) at 1900 PST. It's a two hour show, during which I will be interviewed, talking about transcriptions, and the music played will be mostly from my two studio CDs.  :)

If anyone wants to listen, I think this link should work at the given time:

Thanks Andrew, that will be 16:00 Monday here, which is manageable. I might give it a try, it will be the first such connection to succeed for me if it works.

The site seems to stream fine on both my PC and phone, so hopefully you'll get it ok. I'll see if someone can capture the stream in any case. Looking at the set list, it's the pianistic equivalent of eating the entire dessert trolley ;D ornamentation overkill!

I don't think they archive their shows, so hopefully stream capture will work, in which case I'll be able to share privately later.

The bulk of the show will be Liszt and Thalberg paraphrases, but there will also be some rarities.

Okay, that explains why I'm hearing some peculiar pop music. Thanks Andrew, we'll try again next time.

A bit unfortunate (it *is* 3am here!), but I'll post the new date when I know the updated schedule.

A revised date of 28th Jan has been set. Same time, same webcast address, hopefully a different result! ;)

Congratulations on your radio interview.  The host appeared to play a great selection from both of your albums.  I still can’t believe that Lucia di Lammermoor is played with LH alone. ;)

I’m sure you hate it when people make requests for your next album (like the host did).  Can you include Wagner’s Tannhauser Overture transcribed (if it’s called that) by Liszt on your 3rd album? ;D

Somewhere I have a video of me playing that lh only Lucia in public after, ahem, about the grand total of about ten hours work on it, which probably won't convince you either, seeing as it sucks compared to the studio version  ;D ;D

Hmm, I think the Wagner-Liszt Tannhauser goes on and on.. though that's probably Wagner's fault. I also don't do requests at 5.45 am ;) which is what the time is now here.

Sounds like you enjoyed it. I thought it was quite an entertaining programme, but I'm biased! Time to crash out...

A little PS: if anyone who intended to listen missed this, I now have a reasonable quality audio stream capture of the programme which I can make available privately. Due to the likely copyright issues I don't think I should be posting it publicly, but pm me if interested.
