"Enduring Movement" from the Legend of 1900
on: April 14, 2018, 01:48:42 PM
Could this be possible to be played solo? Has anyone here attempted to tackle it? It's the piece that is played in the film "The Legend of 1900", in a duel scene where the protagonist wins by playing it against the "inventor of jazz" Jelly Roll Morton.

I have a feeling it is doable, as long as you break the three C's at ~0:53 of the video.

Also, the "Finger Breaker" which was played in the same scene, is also no joke, by the way!

Incidentally, I can't help but wonder if the "Enduring Movement" was based on Thelonius Monk's "Epistrophy".
