'Bugs Bunny' Horowitz song?
on: January 21, 2005, 06:20:16 AM
This sounds totally goofy, but my boss is asking me to learn a song he knows Horowitz played that he has heard on a Bugs Bunny cartoon. I suspect it's a Rach. Any ideas?

It's got to be Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2.

have you seen the cartoon? if not, then you must - it will change forever your image of hr2 (as well as the way you play it).

also there's a tom & jerry one also based on hr2 - both superb

laugh all you want - i first heard hr2 in the tom & jerry cartoon when i was about 6. and i still see it the same way - one of the very few works proving liszt had a sense of humour :)

Ditto here.  The power of the visual image and your first hearing of a piece.  I just don't hear it the same way I do the others.

No wonder I get those cartoons mixed up... Bugs, Tom and Jerry...

I think it was also in Who Framed Roger Rabbit?  wasn't it?  Daffy v Donald?
