After a quick listen - it seemed to remind me of Bartok in some places, but then other snippets remind me of Ravel.

Sorry, this is an odd one for me. Anything Classical and Romantic, I'm far better at - but this is not my area of expertise.

Reminds me a bit of Kabalevsky.

Hi Visitor
You have probably already thought of it... but maybe post a comment on YouTube asking for the composer?  It really is a great piece  and strange the op number is mentioned but not the composer
I wondered if all contestants were required to play something by the same composer in this round, but couldn't seem to find this information, either.

hi dogperson yes that is usually  my first.go when it's a pianists channel in this case though seems to.be a competition or other entity hosting and generally its a fruitless pursuit as the channel is typically maintained by folks that eitherndont known it dont care  at times,  a  contact of mine says its Bartok  and I'm inclined to agree insult need to double back and cross reference recordings of  his suite vs that on the competition channel just got this info so just habemt had a chance yet to unpack it but it seems legit :-)
sad I dont know Bartoks output and music well enough that i just didnt know it by listening...a hole In my piano lit knowledge exposed so I'm compelled to.dedicate some study towards his work so lots of listening ahead and may pick up a work or two of his as time allows soon. it's been a long time since I learned and performed any of his music ...it may pair wel with some Enescu I was considering recently ....  8)

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
