Hello again!
If you can help me, do it, otherwise do not make any ironical comments. It will be appreciarted.

So, here we are again, I have to choose one Romantic BIG WORK for the final exams for my diploma.
My current repertoire is: Bach bwv 849, chopin scherzo n 2, chopin etude op 25 n 11, 12, scriabin etude op 8 n 12, beethoven sonata op 2 n 3, and the tempest, Grieg concerto.

I would like you to suggest me a big, romantic piece among the masterpieces of Chopin (except the ballads), Liszt, Schumann or something you have in mind that fits in the situation.. considering the works above as the hardest i have played.

Liszt's Ballade No. 2 in B minor, Valentina Lisitsa's version is my favorite.

It may be harder than the pieces you can play, considering it's a 16 minute liszt piece, but it's one of the most impressive solo piano work I've ever heard of, in my opinion it has reached the limitation of the expressiveness of a single piano, only Piano Concertos can top this Everest of a Ballade, in terms of Soundscape, most of the techniques in this ballade are very similar to the ones that can be found in Liszt's Transcendental Etude No. 12, "Chasse-Neige".

I would also recommend Chopin's Sonata Op. 35, which would be about a step up in your repertoire I think.

Schumann's Fantasie Op. 17 may also be what you're looking for. 30 minutes long, yes, but even just one movement is plenty (though if you're looking for a "BIG" work, either the first or second would be more what you're looking for, or the whole thing if you're up for the challenge."

Consider also Rachmaninoff's Variations on a Theme by Corelli.

Scriabin's Fantasie Op. 28 is also a great masterpiece work, but not sure if you could consider it "Romantic."

Some Liszt, arranged from comparatively easier to most difficult:

Vallee d'Obermann
Dante Sonata
Norma Fantasy (not for the faint-hearted).
