Thanks Bob.. As one who found learning Sibelius frustrating - (it took me a few hundred  pages of writing in it before, finally, i became accustomed  to its whacky navigational ways) - I found the your link very humorous - and very true!  Thanks for the laugh!

I didn't see any other reviews like that on his list.  I noticed the Dorico software though.  I haven't heard of that before.

I've got a copy of Sibelius 3 around somewhere, barely used.

The Dorico is new to me too.  I have the Finale full version because my teacher preferred I have it for some of the theory work we do.  I don't have much of a handle on it beyond the basics.  That is why I was curious.

I have Sibelius 7.15 - ever since they moved onto a Subscription service - I thought, screw that. I'm good with the version I have.

Dorico - like Sibelius but twice the price.

When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a common mantra for any pianist, but we all know it’s an oversimplification. While practice often leads to improvement, true perfection is elusive. But according to recent research, a robotic exoskeleton hand could help pianists improve their speed of performing difficult pianistic patterns, by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”.
