Programmatic Piano Works
on: January 06, 2019, 04:35:30 AM
Hi, I am currently preparing two works - Janacek's Sonata 1. X. 1905 and Medtner's Sonata-Elegie. I am curious to know what other works (in any period) are programmatic that can I explore and build my repertoire.
p.s I play late-romantic and early-middle 20th century works best.

Many, if not most, of Debussy's and Ravel's piano works could be argued to be in this category. Depends on how literal you want to be...
