The Storm- A Tribute to Vivaldi (String Ensemble)

There is a slight reference to Beethoven's Symphony No.3 in there...

A splendid piece of atmospheric writing, hard to believe it was improvised. Of course the big difference, a vital one for me, is that your music uses off-beat accents, something those old composers never thought of trying, not that my knowledge of them is anything to write home to Mum about. There is still much to be said with simple chords, as you prove.

Very enjoyable.
There is so much in these three and a half minutes. It shows the diversity of expression that can be achieved by setting up and breaking listener expectations using repetitive patterns. You artfully carve out those syncopations and keep the listener wanting more.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
