MASTER MUSIC FESTIVAL
on: April 09, 2019, 06:23:39 AM
Hello all,

There is a long time I'm not around here since last year has been a very difficult year for me because of family problems and it was very difficult to return back to normal.
Anyway I'm here to give some nice news:

I'll be playing in the Master Music Festival in Watford (UK) next June 9th  (2019)
https://mastermusicpublications.com/events/artur_cimirro_pf_19/

So it will be very nice if the people from UK who are members here can go there to watch and have a talk after concert.

Also, there will be other concerts which will be very nice to attend if you can (Nicholas McCarthy, Michael Harvey and Ji Liu)

In my Recital I'll be playing Rachmaninov/Horowitz's Sonata No.2 Op.36 in my own left hand arrangement, some Liszt Transcendental Etudes for left hand, and some other pieces including also two hands repertoire.
The link given above shows to full repertoire.

The program was made specially for this Festival since they are starting to publish some of my scores - so there is only my works in there (compositions and transcriptions).

I was trying to find other possibilities of playing a more "standard" program in another UK concert but I had no luck finding places where I could have a nice opportunity until now...
(I'm trying to find some possibilities of making a video of some piano works to add in my Youtube channel since in Brazil it is quite difficult to find a decent piano around where I live.)

I'll play also a Concert in Belo Horizonte next 30th April (in case someone here is going to Brazil or is visiting around) this one will be with orchestra and I'll be playing two concerts:
- Rubinstein - Concerto No.4 Op.70 in D minor
- Liszt - Concerto No.1 (S.124) in Eb major
(and the orchestra will start the program with Beethoven's Egmont as far as I know)

Also, in some weeks finally the Mereaux Etudes in 3 CDs will be sent for printing and I hope they will be soon available for the interested ones.

All my other projects will continue from now, I hope some of them will be of your interest.

All the best
Artur Cimirro

Sounds like a fascinating recital! Not sure I'll be able to attend, as I live at the other end of the country, but I will try to, time and commitments permitting. In the meantime, I've sent the link to some pianist friends who live rather nearer.

Dear Ronde,

Thank you for the kind reply as always :)
Any help promoting such kind of events is always great, but I really hope you can find a way to go there!

Best
Artur

I hope this went well, and there was a good turnout. I regret not being able to make the journey south for it, but events beyond my control, etc..

I know it's often the last thing on a performer's mind when arranging such things, but is there any audio or video from the event?

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31. Piano Street’s members are invited to watch the livestream. Read more
