Great NEWS for Jazz Piano Freaks - a talented film maker, Greg Mallozzi, is embarking on a serious project to do a documentary of the GREAT Dave McKenna. He has access to loads of Dave unpublished interviews, archives, etc, and has been green lighted by Dave's family to do the project. Actually, that is good information.

Dave McKenna was one of the absolute masters of swing, with his unique LH style and his modern harmonies. 

There should be a good documentary about him.  Maybe the filmmaker will find an angel investor so he can do it right.
