Every now and again, there is a non Sorabji recording release.
The Benoit is a joy to behold and full.of wonderful tunes.
It is not 7 hours long.

You don't say!

I don't know it so will look forward to hearing it (incidentally, I was at RCM at the same time as the conductor/soloist).

It is not 7 hours long.
Nor is either Sequentia cyclica or Toccata seconda.

And here's another non-Sorabji recording from the same excellent label:

It's high time that Feinberg's works were more widely disseminated.

The thread title, and this post above...

This is called winning. Keep doing it Thalbergmad. I laughed my sorry arse off over it.

It's called creating a mildly and momentarily amusing thread title and post. What's more impotant about it is the music to which Thal draws attention as represented in this most recent addition to Hyperion's welcome and still burgeoning Romantic Piano Concerto series - and Thal is a noted authority on such things, as evidenced by his rôle in the CPS (by which of course I mean the Concerto Preservation Society, not the Crown Prosecution Service).

I laughed my sorry arse off over it.
It doesn't take much for some to do that, it would seem, though I will - wisely, I think - refrain from comment on the self-proclaimed sorriness of your arse...

Best,

Alistair
