on: February 09, 2020, 04:00:58 PM
Hello,
I'm looking for sheet music of "Trois pieces romantiques pour piano en hommage Chopin" by Marguerite Canal. Where can I get the score of this composition? Thanks in advance,
anjur

Long out of print, wrote to publisher a while back but don't recall what they said I'll look for the email , some interesting momments but felt derivative overall whej I listened to excerpts/hits but I have a small sub folder of these works so had looked for them before, I may have a copy I lose track of what I have all the time ...
On the hommages  if you cannot find a copy to buy , I suggest the very much available Helps three hommages (,to Faure Rachmaninoff and Ravel) those are really well  written
Ie
If you like a Chopiny sound , the Faure one dope

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
